Andersen Bailers are recognised by one-design sailors all over the world as the most effective and reliable self bailer available. When closed they sit flush with the outside of the hull to ensure your dinghy’s watertight integrity, and when opened underway they create a venturi effect that draws accumulated water out of the boat quickly and automatically. Manufactured from high quality stainless steel, Andersen Bailers are designed to deliver year after year of trouble-free performance.

The origins of the Andersen Bailer can be traced back to the legendary Paul Elvström, winner of four Olympic gold medals and an innovator who made a lasting impact on the sport. He brought his concepts to Frederik Andersen, an early developer of stainless steel sailboat hardware and the man behind Andersen winches, whose know-how in toolmaking and manufacturing brought the product to life. The Andersen business was later acquired by Ronstan, and Andersen Bailers continue to be manufactured in the company’s factory in Denmark to this day.
