cleats selection advice

FEATURES

1.

CARBON CAMS
C-Cleats™ feature lightweight, ultra-rigid, carbon fibre composite cams that are corrosion free, wear resistant and non-abrasive.

2.

ADVANCED COMPOSITE BASE
Produced from long fibre reinforced polymer, a result of advanced composite technology providing metal replacement performance.

3.

SLOTTED BEARINGS
Self lubricating, self-cleaning slotted bearings can provide lower frictional resistance and quicker response times than ball bearings which may deform under high load, as well as superior resistance to sand and salt.

4.

MULTI-COIL SPRING
The multi-coil spring recessed in the upper part of the cam generates near constant torque. This constant torque ensures secure cleating of even the smallest lines with minimal abrasion or rope wear and low line entry and exit efforts.

FEATURES

1.

GLASS FIBRE REINFORCED CAMS
Ronstan T-Cleats™ have tough glass fibre re-inforced cams providing outstanding value for most cleating applications.

FEATURES

1.

ALLOY CAMS
Hard anodised aluminium cams.

2.

BASE
The SMALL Alloy Cam Cleat is built on a long strand glass fibre reinforced polymer base and the MEDIUM Alloy Cam Cleat is built on a hard anodised aluminium base.

FEATURES

1.

MARINE GRADE NYLON CLEATS
Offer very good value for money for most rope cleating applications. They are corrosion proof and will last for many years outdoors. Where high loads or surges are encountered aluminium cleats are recommended.

2.

ALUMINIUM CLEATS
Are highly successful in providing a complete answer to 'rope burn'. They are unaffected by the heat generated by a rope surging back through the cleat as well as being suitable for sub-zero temperatures. Corrosion resistance is good.

3.

HARD ANODISED ALUMINIUM CLEATS
Are the ultimate choice for extra protection from corrosion and wear caused by aggressive modern fibres.
