Foiling Week Set to Fly with World-Class Talent
This year’s Foiling Week in Malecesine, Lake Garda is shaping up to be something special. Over 30 sailors from 13 countries are set to race in the SWITCH, and the fleet is packed with talent. Olympic champions like Tom Burton, Matt Wearn, and Stuart Bithell will line up alongside rising stars like Micky Beckett and ILCA® strategist Maud Jayet. You’ll also see America’s Cup contender Vilma Bobeck fresh off a standout 2024 season.
But it’s not just about the big names. The SWITCH Class is attracting a diverse group of sailors, from local Italian favourites like Matteo Celon and Massimiliano Antoniazzi to youth sailors and Great Grandmaster Vello Ehvert, who’s made the journey all the way from Thailand. It’s exciting to see such a dynamic fleet take shape.
With our support and a growing global following, the SWITCH Class has its sights set on an ambitious international calendar. Dedicated training camps, Grand Prix events, and a Global Championship are all on the horizon – and we’re onboard for every tack and gybe.
