Winch Mounting Orientation
Andersen Winches do not require a particular mounting position to achieve their maximum working loads and holding loads in normal use. However, there are some considerations to be aware of. The following PDF indicates the proper line entry angles, self-tailing arm positioning, and output drive gear orientation. NOTE: on models 12ST, 28ST, and 34ST, the self-tailing arm is fixed, so it is important to establish the proper location of the holes prior to drilling these in the deck.
